Deposit Policy

Deposits are credited towards the final cost of your service. We allow 24 hours grace to pay your deposit, unless a longer period is negotiated and agreed to by the studio/artist. After this period the appointment will be released and can be booked by other clients. If the appointment is within the next 72 hours, we require the deposit payment to be made at the time of booking.

72 hours notice is required to reschedule your booking, failure to do so may result in forfeiting your deposit.

Rescheduling more than once may require a new deposit to be paid.

Cancellations result in forfeiting your deposit.

If a booking is made less than 72 hours in advance of your appointment time, the deposit will be forfeited in the event of a reschedule or cancellation.

By making a booking you represent that you are at least 18 years of age. When taking online bookings we rely on your honesty and assume that you are 18 or older. If your ID indicates that you are underage at the time of your appointment, we reserve the right to refuse service and your deposit will be forfeited.

Tattoo Aftercare

Tattoos are open wounds and should be treated similarly.

2 weeks is the average time it takes for a tattoo to heal. Adhering to aftercare advice is crucial to prevent infections, avoid complications such as scarring and fading, and ensures that the tattoo heals properly to look it’s best for years to come.

If cling wrap was applied, remove it after 1 hour and no more than 4 hours. Upon removing the wrap, gently wash the tattoo using fragrance-free soap & warm water. Do not re-apply cling wrap to the tattoo.

If second skin was applied, leave it on for 5 to 10 days. Remove immediately if, the film lifts and outside contaminates can enter the tattooed area, or you experience any irritation or reaction from the applied second skin. Ink and plasma can pool under the film and create “bubbles” or “ink sacks” – this is normal and will resolve itself.

Apply small amounts of cream (LESS IS MORE!) to the tattoo once your skin closes and is dry to the touch. Some recommended aftercare creams are Bepanthen First Aid Cream, Savlon Antiseptic Cream, or Lucas’ Papaw Ointment. Ensure the tattoo is kept clean at all times to avoid infections.

Do’s

Keep clean at all times.
Softly slap if itchy.
Wear loose non-restrictive clothing/shoes.
Keep out of the sun.

Dont’s

Baths, long showers, swimming or sauna for the first 2 weeks.
Activities that cause sweating, especially for fine line delicate tattoos.
Picking or scratching your scabs.
Exposing the tattoo to sun.
Applying fake tan.

Touch-Ups

We guarantee our work and understand sometimes tattoos require touch ups after healing.

We offer free touch-ups within the first 3 months. If the tattoo requires a touch-up after healing completely, contact the studio you visited to book a session.

Piercing Aftercare

Adhering to piercing aftercare advice is crucial to prevent infections, promote proper healing and avoid complications like scarring and keloids.

Dont’s

Pick or scratch ‘crusties’.
Sleep on the piercing.
Turn, twist or play with the jewellery.
Submerge the piercing in lakes, streams, pools or hotubs.

Facial Piercings

Soak a cotton pad with saline solution and hold it against your piercing for 1 minute, 3 times a day. Alternativeley you can use Neilmed Spray.

Torso Piercings

Half fill a shotglass with saline solution then lean back holding the shotglass over the piercing and soak for 1 minute, 3 times a day. Alternativeley you can use Neilmed Spray.

Oral Piercings

Rinse with alcohol free mouthwash or saline solution, 3 times a day. Use ice and cold drinks to reduce swelling, and rinse mouth with water immediately after eating.

Genital Piercings

Bleeding can occur for a couple of days. No unprotected sex during healing. Intimate relations can resume when the piercing becomes comfortable, usually between 4 and 6 weeks. Be aware that healing in this area can take up to 6 months.

Dermal Anchors

Use ice for the first 24-48 hours. Do not soak the piercing. Use bandaids if required for up to 3 nights. The anchor site should heal within 2-3 weeks. Do not attempt to change the anchor top yourself.
